Publish Date:2018-09-10

On July 18,Xinjiang Zhongtai (Group) Co., Ltd. signed the cooperation agreement with Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. and Chengdu HITE Control System Co., Ltd. to jointly build the Zhongtai PTA digital factory project. Lin Bin, executive vice president of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., Wang Hongxin, chairman of Zhongtai Group, and Xu Hong, chairman of HITE attended the signing ceremony for project startup. This project will make a project with an annual output of 1.2 million tons of PTA (purified terephthalic acid) for Zhongtai Group, through digital network technology, thus raising the intelligent level of Zhongtai petrochemical project.
This project is the first PTA project of Siemens. We will promote the integrative development of German Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025 in Zhongtai Group, showing the advantages of application scheme, assembly technique, production system and SAP enterprise management platform under German Industry 4.0 to help enterprises realize the lean and intelligent manufacturing process.
The project will focus on the breakthroughs in four key technologies of intelligent equipment, intelligent factory, intelligent service, as well as industrial software and big data that are based on digitization, to realize the seamless integration and complete coverage between systems, to promote the deep integration of the factory data, business and value chain, and to enable the full digitization from the R&D, manufacturing, quality management and logistics system for Zhongtai Group’s project with an annual output of 1.2 million tons of PTA. This alliance among giants will comprehensively improve the intelligence, digitalization and network levels of the project, and finally set up the demonstration project of intra-industry intelligent factories. It will be greatly conducive to deepening innovation drive, the realization of industry transformation and upgrading, and leapfrog development of Zhongtai Group.
As the key project under construction in Xinjiang, Zhongtai Group’s project with an annual output of 1.2 million tons of PTA for petrochemical industrial chain links the upstream PX and oil and gas industry, and introduces the polyester, polyester staple fiber and filament industries. The project will allow blending to develop locally, improve the added value of the petrochemicals, fill in gaps in Xinjiang textile and garment and chemical fiber industry and enable a diversified development of the oil and gas resource in the southern Xinjiang and the extension of the oil and natural gas industry chain. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation in 2019.
